Concrete Pool Construction in Las Vegas
A concrete pool is two structural pours, the shell that holds the water and the deck that surrounds it, both engineered for Nevada freeze-thaw and the loads of a working pool. Las Vegas Concrete handles the gunite or shotcrete shell pour and the surrounding pool deck, working with your pool builder, plumber and finishing trades. Every project starts with a free written estimate.
- Engineered shell and deck pours
- Built for Nevada freeze-thaw
- Coordinated with pool builder and trades
The structural pours
What Concrete Pool Construction Actually Involves
A concrete pool starts with the shell, gunite or shotcrete sprayed against engineered rebar in an excavated cavity, forming the structural body that holds water and pressure. Done right, the shell carries the load of a full pool plus the soil pressure outside it for decades.
Around it, the pool deck is the second structural pour, finished slip-resistant, sloped to drain away from the pool and the house, and engineered for Nevada freeze-thaw. Together they are the concrete bones of the project.
What we do not do is the plumbing, the equipment, the plaster finish or the tile, those are pool-specialist trades. We handle the concrete and coordinate with the pool builder and the other trades so each handoff is clean. The same approach runs through our wider outdoor living work, and ties into the patio around the pool.
How it works
How We Build the Concrete Bones of a Pool in Las Vegas
-
Plan the pool with the builder
We coordinate with the pool builder on the engineered shell drawings, the deck layout and how concrete ties into plumbing, equipment runs and any other trades on site.
-
Excavate and reinforce
The pool cavity is excavated to the engineered profile, rebar is tied through the shell to drawing, and embeds for plumbing, lights and the skimmer are placed before any concrete goes in.
-
Pour the gunite shell
Gunite or shotcrete is pneumatically placed against the rebar and screeded to the shell profile, building the structural body that holds water and pressure for the life of the pool.
-
Pour the deck and tie in
The surrounding pool deck is poured slip-resistant and sloped to drain, with control joints on layout, and tied cleanly into the shell, the patio and the rest of the yard.
Where we hand off
Coordinated With Pool Trades, Not All-In-One
Concrete is one specialty in a pool build, and the projects that go well are the ones where each trade does what it is best at. We pour and finish the structural concrete; the pool builder handles the design and the plumbing, equipment and finish.
We coordinate the schedule with them so the shell is ready when their plumbing rough-in needs it, and the deck is ready when their plaster and tile crew arrives. When an existing pool deck has tired but the structure is sound, pool deck resurfacing is the lower-cost route, often paired with outdoor living upgrades.

Homeowner reviews
What Las Vegas Homeowners Say About Their Concrete Pool Projects
Shell pour was clean against the engineered rebar. The pool builder commented on how easy our handoff was, and the deck was ready exactly when their plaster crew showed up.
Built the shell and deck for our pool over one summer. Coordinated with the pool company and the plumber so we never lost a day waiting on concrete.
They were upfront that they pour the concrete and not the finishes. Made it easy to assemble the right team. Both pours have held perfectly through freeze-thaw.
Slip-resistant pool deck that slopes properly away from the house and the water. Two summers in and not a crack at the joint with the pool.
