How Warehouse Concrete Slabs Get Built in Las Vegas
A working warehouse floor takes constant punishment: reach trucks, loaded pallets, racking posts bearing weight, and the occasional hard drop. The slab has to be engineered for it. Thickness, reinforcement, and a laser-screeded surface within flatness tolerance are the foundation. Joints are detailed to the rack layout and filled with a semi-rigid material so edges don't spall under wheel traffic.
The same engineering principles apply across facility types. Manufacturing plants need heavy-duty slabs that handle equipment and process loads. Food processing requires washdown-ready systems with proper drainage. Cold storage facilities demand slabs that resist thermal cycling without cracking or lifting.
For large pours or tight site access, our concrete pumping service keeps the placement continuous, which is critical for achieving the flatness and durability that industrial floors actually need. We also coordinate ready-mix supply so the concrete arrives on schedule and the crew never waits.
How we work
From Spec Review to Finished Industrial Slab
-
Drawings and spec review
You send the structural drawings, floor spec, load ratings, flatness tolerance, mix design and joint layout. We review everything, ask clarifying questions, and return a written quote with a schedule that fits your operation.
-
Subgrade prep and reinforcement
The crew compacts the subgrade to the required density, sets rebar and embeds, and confirms the mix design and joint plan match the spec before ordering concrete.
-
Placement and finishing
We place the concrete using laser screeds to hit the specified flatness, finish to the tolerance, and saw-cut joints on the layout. Our own pumping keeps large pours continuous and uninterrupted.
-
Curing, joint fill and handoff
After proper curing, we fill and detail the joints, take flatness and load readings where required by the spec, and hand over the floor ready for racking, equipment and traffic.
Common questions
Industrial Concrete in Las Vegas, Questions Answered
Spec compliance, flatness tolerance, joint detailing, food-grade systems and keeping your plant running during the pour.
New warehouse slab poured to our FF/FL spec and signed off with the readings. Racking went in straight and the forklifts run smooth across every joint.
Replaced a failing process-area floor with a food-grade urethane system. It handles the washdowns, drains properly, and passed our sanitation audit.
Poured heavy equipment pads and a wash bay on a working yard. They phased it so we never lost the shop, and the slabs take the loaders fine.
Cold storage slab done right, thermal breaks, the correct mix, flat and tight joints. A year of cycling later there is no spalling or lift.
