Concrete Warehouse Floors Built for Las Vegas Distribution Work

Reach trucks, loaded pallets, racking posts, and forklifts running aisles eight hours a day. Your warehouse floor needs concrete engineered for that load, not guessed at. Las Vegas Concrete sizes the slab, reinforces it, pours to flatness spec, fills joints so edges don't chip, and coats or repairs as needed. Free written estimate on every project.

  • Slab engineered to your load spec
  • Joints filled to hold hard-wheel traffic
  • Repair phased around your operations

Load-rated from the start

How Warehouse Concrete Slabs Differ from Standard Pours

A warehouse floor that fails under racking and forklifts was never sized for the load. The slab thickness, reinforcement pattern, and joint layout all trace back to what equipment will actually run on it. Undersized concrete cracks, spalls and wears faster than expected.

We start with your equipment spec: racking class, forklift type, pallet weight, and traffic pattern. From that we engineer the warehouse floor coating system or new slab thickness and rebar placement. The concrete is placed with laser screeds to hit your flatness spec, and concrete joint filling with semi-rigid material protects every control joint edge.

When an existing slab needs work, warehouse floor repair grinds, patches and re-seals without taking the building offline. Forklift-rated epoxy flooring is the upgrade when impact and chemical exposure are part of daily operations.

The sequence

Building a Warehouse Concrete Floor Step by Step

  1. Measure and engineer

We review your equipment data, racking loads, forklift class and traffic patterns, then calculate slab thickness, reinforcement and joint spacing to match the actual use.

  2. Prepare base and set forms

Base is compacted, reinforcement is laid out and tied, forms are set to grade. For existing slabs, we grind and prep the surface for coating adhesion.

  3. Place and finish the slab

Concrete is placed and screeded to your flatness spec using laser levels. Joints are saw-cut on the engineered layout and the surface is finished to the specified texture.

  4. Fill joints and apply coating

Joints are filled with semi-rigid filler to support edges under traffic. If a coating is specified, the system is applied per manufacturer requirements and cured before racking moves in.

The weak point in every warehouse

Why Concrete Joint Filling Stops Floor Failure

Warehouse floors fail at the joints first. A saw-cut control joint that is never filled leaves an exposed concrete edge, and every hard-wheel forklift that crosses it chips away at that edge until you have a spall running the length of the aisle.

Semi-rigid concrete joint filling supports those edges so the load transfers through the slab, not the joint. When spalling has already started, warehouse floor repair removes the damaged concrete, patches it, and re-fills the joint. We often phase this bay by bay so your operation keeps moving.

A sealed warehouse floor coating or forklift-rated epoxy system adds a chemical and impact barrier on top, so the slab underneath ages slower and stays flatter longer under traffic.

Common questions

Warehouse Concrete Floor Questions, Answered

Load ratings, joint filling, coatings and repair for warehouse floors in Las Vegas.

Because a saw-cut joint has an exposed concrete edge, and every hard-wheel forklift crossing it chips at that edge. Concrete joint filling with a semi-rigid filler supports the edges so the floor carries the forklift, not the joint.
Forklift-rated epoxy flooring is a heavy-duty coating system built for impact, chemical exposure and constant hard-wheel traffic. It is the step up from a basic warehouse coating where the load and use justify it.
Usually, yes. Warehouse floor repair is phased bay by bay or off-shift so racking and operations keep moving while one area cures. We map the phasing with you before starting.
Yes. We laser-screed to the flatness and levelness numbers in the spec and can provide the readings. Flat is what keeps a reach truck running smooth across every joint.
Bare concrete dusts, stains and wears under traffic. Floor coating seals it, gives a chemical and impact barrier, and makes the floor easier to clean and line-mark. The level of system depends on the load.

New slab poured to our FF spec and joint-filled before racking went in. A year of forklifts later not a spalled edge anywhere.

Forklift-rated epoxy across the whole floor. Takes the hard wheels and a chemical spill, and our line marking actually stays sharp.

★★★★★

Bay-by-bay repair on a tired warehouse floor. They worked off-shift so racking never came out and the building stayed full while we fixed it.

Joint filling on every aisle. The chipping at the joint edges stopped immediately and the reach trucks run smooth across them.
