Restaurant Flooring Built for Las Vegas Kitchens

Kitchens, wash stations, and dining areas each demand different concrete. We build the slab system that fits each zone's actual use, not a one-size-fits-all coating. Free written estimate.

Three zones, three systems

Why Restaurant Concrete Floors Aren't One-Size-Fits-All

A kitchen floor sees grease, heat, dropped equipment, and constant chemical wash. The slab needs grip underfoot and resistance to oils and cleaners. A wash-down area adds standing water and floor drains to that list; the concrete must slope and handle daily saturation. The dining room is mostly foot traffic and appearance; a polished or attractive finish works best there.

We specify and install the right system for each zone. The kitchen gets anti-slip concrete with chemical resistance. The wash area gets a sloped slab with drain pockets and a wet-slip-rated coating. The dining and bar areas get polished concrete or a decorative finish. Transitions between zones are detailed so each system finishes cleanly where it meets the next.

This approach applies across all our retail and restaurant concrete work, our broader commercial floor systems, and related epoxy flooring in non-restaurant settings. Breweries and wineries follow a similar but distinct spec; see brewery and winery flooring.

How we build it

Installing Restaurant Concrete Floors in Las Vegas

  1. Map zones with your team

We meet with you, the kitchen designer, and the general contractor to identify each zone (cooking line, prep, dish station, wash-down, dining, bar, entry), confirm slip ratings and chemical exposure for each, and agree on the finish look.

  2. Select the system per zone

Kitchen gets anti-slip with chemical resistance. Wash-down gets a sloped slab with drains and a wet-slip-rated coating. Dining and bar get polished or decorative concrete. We plan transitions so each system meets the next flush.

  3. Prep and pour the slab

Each zone's concrete is ground to the system's prep profile, primed, and the base coat applied. Where slip resistance is needed, aggregate is broadcast into the wet coating. Topcoat seals the finish. Drains and slopes are built into the slab itself.

  4. Document care for each zone

Kitchen, wash, and dining teams each get a maintenance sheet specific to their zone. Cleaning chemicals, scrub frequency, and re-seal schedules are documented separately so each area is cared for correctly.

Liability and compliance

Slip-Rated Concrete Flooring for Insurance

Restaurant insurance carriers require documented slip-rated flooring in kitchens and wash-down zones. A slip-and-fall in a kitchen is one of the costliest incidents in food service; the slip-rated slab is preventative liability protection. We document the rating of every system we install and provide that documentation to your carrier or inspector.

Coordinate with your kitchen designer and general contractor so the concrete slab fits the equipment layout (drains positioned under the dish station, slopes running to floor drains in wash areas). This coordination happens early and is built into the slab itself, not added later. See our broader retail and restaurant concrete services and related commercial concrete flooring systems.

Common questions

Restaurant Flooring Questions, Answered

Kitchen anti-slip, wash-down systems, front-of-house finishes and insurance requirements.

Because three different environments coexist in one space with different demands. Kitchen needs grip plus chemical resistance, wash-down needs slope plus wet-slip rating, front-of-house needs look plus traffic. One system everywhere compromises all three.
Insurance and industry guidelines define minimum slip ratings for wet and dry conditions. We specify the system to meet or exceed those targets, document the rating, and provide that documentation to your insurance carrier or inspector.
In front-of-house, yes, polished concrete is a strong choice for dining and bar areas. Not in kitchens or wash-down zones, polished concrete is not slip-rated for wet kitchen environments. We use it where it fits and other systems where they fit.
Transitions are planned where it makes sense (often at a doorway or material change), the two systems are detailed to meet flush, and the joint is sealed appropriately. The transition is visible but intentional, not improvised.
Sometimes, where the renovation can be zoned. Kitchen and wash-down work typically requires the kitchen to be down for several days for prep and cure. Front-of-house can sometimes be staged around dining hours. We plan around your operations.

Three different systems for kitchen, wash-down and dining. Insurance accepted the slip ratings, staff feel safer, and the dining room looks the way the designer wanted. Three problems solved at once.
