Stop Concrete Dust at the Source in Las Vegas

Unsealed concrete sheds fine particles under foot and forklift traffic, settling on products, equipment, and workers. Silicate densifier treatment penetrates the slab and hardens the surface, cutting dust generation by up to 90 percent. No full coating cost. Free written estimate.

Cost-effective alternative

Why Concrete Dust Control Beats Full Coating

Unsealed concrete floors shed surface particles constantly. Foot traffic, forklift wheels, and equipment movement abrade the top layer, releasing fine dust that contaminates products, clogs air filters, and creates ongoing cleanup labor. The problem is the floor itself, not the environment.

Silicate densifier (sodium or lithium) soaks into the concrete and chemically reacts with the slab's calcium hydroxide, forming additional binder that fills pores and hardens the surface. The result is dramatically reduced dust generation at a fraction of the cost of epoxy or polyurethane coating. Optional topical sealer can be added for extra sheen and protection if needed.

This approach fits within our broader manufacturing floor strategy. For facilities needing chemical resistance or heavy impact protection, see heavy-duty concrete floors and chemical-resistant systems. For general warehouse floor coating, we offer full systems as well.

Application sequence

How We Apply Dust Control to Your Las Vegas Floor

  1. Assess and prepare the slab

We inspect the floor for existing coatings, heavy wear, or contamination. Light grinding removes loose material and opens the surface so the densifier can penetrate effectively.

  2. Apply silicate densifier

The chosen densifier (sodium for budget-conscious, lithium for premium performance) is applied at the manufacturer's specified rate. The surface is kept wet during the reaction window, then excess is removed before drying.

  3. Allow cure and optional seal

The densifier cures into the slab over 24-48 hours. If a topical sealer is part of the spec, it is applied after full cure for additional gloss, protection, and easier cleaning.

  4. Test and document results

We perform a simple sweep test to confirm dust reduction and document the maintenance protocol, including re-application intervals and compatible cleaning products for facility staff.

High ROI, low disruption

Densifier Treatment Delivers Fast Results

Densifier-only is one of the highest-value moves in industrial floor maintenance. Application is quick, cost is low relative to full coating, and dust reduction is immediate and measurable. We recommend it as a first step in any warehouse or light-manufacturing facility where dust is the primary concern.

Coordinate with warehouse epoxy flooring if you need full coating in high-traffic zones while general areas just need dust suppression. See the full range of manufacturing concrete solutions for your facility type.

Common questions

Dust Control Sealing Questions, Answered

Sodium vs lithium, topcoat options, and when densifier alone is sufficient.

Lithium silicate generally provides better densification and less efflorescence; sodium silicate is lower-cost. We recommend based on your facility's needs and budget; lithium is our default for premium applications, sodium for value-focused installs.
Not always. Densifier-only is sufficient for dust control in many warehouse and light-manufacturing settings. A topical sealer adds gloss, additional surface protection, and easier cleaning; the right answer depends on your facility's needs.
Dust-proofing addresses dust generation at a fraction of the cost of full coating, but does not provide chemical resistance, impact protection, or significant aesthetic improvement. Full coating addresses all those plus dust; dust-proofing focuses on the dust problem only.
A properly applied densifier provides decades of dust control; reapplication is rarely needed unless the slab sees significant wear. Topical sealers may need refresh every several years depending on traffic and cleaning.
Yes, with zone-by-zone phasing. Each treated zone is offline for a single shift or less during application and cure; operations continue in untreated zones. The phasing plan is part of the quote.

★★★★★

Lithium silicate densifier across our entire warehouse floor. Dust generation dropped dramatically, cleanup time per shift cut by hours. Best maintenance dollar we have spent in years.

Z. Y4
Warehouse Manager, Las Vegas
★★★★★

They recommended dust-proofing instead of upselling us to full coating. The honest spec saved real budget and solved the actual problem we had. Trust earned.

Y. Y4
Plant Manager, Henderson
★★★★★

Phased application across the plant over two weekends. Operations never stopped, dust generation in treated zones was noticeably lower by the next shift. Quick, effective, clean.

Q. Y4
Operations Director, Boulder City
★★★★★

Added a topical sealer on top of the densifier for the easier-clean factor. The combined result is dust-free, easy to maintain, and cost a fraction of what coating would have.
